Arts Graduate from Fudang Da Xue, Shanghai, he has a studio in the outskirts of Beijing in an artist’s commune where old factory facilities are used by the artists as a cultural center.
Born in the midst of the Cultural Revolution in the suburbs of Shanghai, Hong had little formal education, but a natural talent to draw noticed by his parents.
Shanghai as a cultural centre , from his early age he was brought to watch Opera , as his parents were both linked to the local theatre. His fascination with art became quite evident and his dedication to Chinese Art has become his ethos in life.
As from a poor back ground, he had to face numerous challenges to carry on with his passion , and till these days these challenges remain in many levels.
